Signing a Cooperation Agreement with City University of Malaysia
On May 28, NI Zhengli, president of City University of Malaysia, and his three colleagues came to our university to visit and exchange ideas, and discuss cooperation in running the two universities. SUN Dachuan, Secretary-General of China Vocational Education Association, YANG Wen, President of our university, and LIU Cuilan, Executive Vice-President, attended the talks.
President YANG Wen first warmly welcomed the visit of President Ni Zhengli and his delegation, and briefly introduced the basic situation of our university and the current situation of international cooperation in education. President YANG Wen said that City University of Malaysia is a full-time university in Malaysia with undergraduate, master and doctoral level education. It is the first batch of universities that have been recommended and certified by the Ministry of education in Malaysia. It is also one of the two institutions designated by the Chinese government to carry out “one belt and one road” cooperation. City University of Malaysia and our university have many similarities in the running concept, the running characteristics and the development path. It laid a solid foundation for the cooperation between the two universities.
President NI Zhengli introduced the running situation of City University of Malaysia, and highly appraised the characteristics and achievements of our university. He said that the two universities have broad cooperation space in the “one belt and one road” project, professional co-construction, exchange and mutual visits, as well as personnel training, and hope to expand the influence in the international community through various forms of exchanges and cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Chairman YANG Wen and President NI Zhengli signed framework agreements on cooperation in the running of the two universities on behalf of Shandong Yingcai University and Malaysian City University respectively.
